The seventh release in The Macallan Archival Series, Folio 7 highlights 'The Boffins Baffled', an advertisement from 1984. This advert tells the tale of a group of scientists - 'Boffins' if you will - who were invited to The Macallan to determine why it was so special, but were left positively baffled with no scientific rationale explaining the magic of The Macallan. The boffins then insisted on taking extra whisky back to their laboratory in the name of 'research'.
