This expression was exclusive to The Dalmore distillery and showcases Richard's artistry in cask selection and maturation.
The journey started on the 9th of February 2000, when The Dalmore new make spirit was placed into an American White Oak ex-bourbon barrel. On the 27th July 2011, it was carefully transferred into hand-selected Californian Merlot Barrique. There it remained until early April 2017. Deeming the cask had gifted the flavours he sought, Richard then bottled the prized whisky at its natural strength.
