Arran - Smugglers' Series - The Complete Trilogy (3 x 70cl)

A set containing all three bottles from the "Smugglers' Series" range from the Arran distillery. Includes the following:

Volume 1 - The Illict Stills (70cl, 56.4%) 

The first release from this series represents the type of dram the illicit producers would create. It is a mixture of Port Pipes and Sherry Hogsheads containing unpeated spirit and oak barrels containing peated spirit.  Released in 2015. One of 8,700 bottles.

Volume 2 - The High Seas (70cl, 55.4%)

This second release pays tribute to the producers of the famed Arran Waters. The whisky itself is a peated spirit matured in rum casks and finished in first fill bourbon barrels. Released in 2016. One of 8,700 bottles.

Volume 3 - The Exciseman (70cl, 56.8%)

The third and final release in the series, The Exciseman brings together whiskies matured in bourbon quarter casks and madeira casks. The latter being a nod to casks used by illicit distillers on Arran, who acquired them from Madeira smugglers. Released in 2017. One of 8,700 bottles.
