A cask strength release from the Macallan distillery. This is the second release in the short-lived 'Exceptional Cask' series from The Macallan - which in of itself only yielded 6 releases. Distilled on the 6th March 1980 and matured in a single Oloroso Sherry Butt Cask No.4053. After being nosed and tipped by Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno, this whisky was bottled on the 11th December 2001 at unfiltered cask strength.
