Balvenie - 26 Year Old - A Day of Dark Barley - Story No.3
This is part of a 3 bottle 2019 release from Balvenie distillery, entitled The Stories. ‘A Day of Dark Barley’ is the third in the series. This was distilled in 1992 when an erroneous delivery of dark barely inspired an experiment that would eventually lead to the 14 year old Roasted Malt release in the mid-2000s. This cask was left to further mature until it was 26 years old.
Balvenie - 19 Year Old - The Edge of Burnhead Wood - story No.6
The sixth 'Story' bottling displaying the story of how Dave Stewart made the perfect match between heather and barley. Aged 19 years old.
Balvenie - 12 Years Old The Sweet Toast of American Oak - Story No.1
The Sweet Toast Of American Oak references when Apprentice Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie was inspired to import Virgin Oak barrels from Kentucky, producing a fruitier, sweeter Balvenie. Aged 12 years old.
The Balvenie - 14 Years Old - The Week of Peat - Story No.2
The second release of the 2019 Distillery Stories series, The Week of Peat is the story of Ian Millar using smoke from Speyside peat for one week of the year.
