The story of David C Stewart and the creation of Balvenie Classic. Probably the finest highland malt whisky, those were the words on the first ever bottle of The Balvenie Classic. Stewart had an instinctive idea that something different would happen when whisky was transferred from an American oak cask to finish in a sweet Oloroso sherry cask.
