In 2007, Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the founder of the Hanyu Distillery, started a new chapter in Japan's whisky history by building Chichibu Distillery. Production started in Febuary 2008.
This limited edition, split cask release from the Chichibu-Meisen collection has been hand selected for Harvey Nichols department store. Distilled in 2012, matured in a single red wine cask and bottled in 2020.
