Balvenie - Tun 1509 Batch No.1 - No.7

Due to the success of The Tun 1401 series, a bigger vat was needed. Tun 1509 is four times the size.

Batch No.1 is a combination of 35 American oak barrels and seven European oak sherry butts, left to marry for a few months. 

Batch No.2 is comprised of seven European oak sherry butts and thirty five American oak barrels, allowed to marry together for several months.

Batch No.3 is nmade from 31 casks; twelve sherry butts, eleven hogsheads and eight refill American oak butts.

Batch No.4 is a combination of 23 casks; thirteen refill American oak butts and ten sherry butts.

Batch No.5 is a combination of 29 casks; 10 bourbon barrels, 8 sherry hogsheads, 3 refill American oak and 8 sherry butts.

Batch No.6 is made up of 21 different casks; five refill sherry butts, seven DoubleWood refill sherry butts and nine traditional oak casks.

Batch No.7 is made up of ex Bourbon and refill ex Sherry casks.
