Description
Glen Grant - 62 Years Old 1956 'Mr George Centenary Edition' A highly sought after and collectible bottle of an exceptional 62 year old Glen Grant from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail. The single malt has been named 'Mr George Centenary Edition' in honour of George Urquhart, creator of Gordon & MacPhail's excellent Connoisseurs Choice range. His favourite distillery was Glen Grant, and so Urquhart's grandson, Stuart Urquhart, picked out an absolutely astonishing whisky to honour him. It was filled into a first fill sherry butt, numbered 4455, on 13 December 1956. After more than six decades, the whisky was bottled in June 2019. Presented in a suave glass decanter inside a beautifully crafted wooden presentation case. Only 235 bottles released.  We recommend that you undertake close up viewing/inspection prior to placing any bid. If you require any further information or pictures please contact us. Please note: That if insurance is not selected, due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
